Well, since we are here, it probably means that we all understand one thing - how important it is to share your opinion and find out another one. We do it when we look for tools, we do it when we look for wood, stropping accessories, clothes, everything and more. That’s why it’s no surprise that we also enjoy sharing some little tricks we learned while carving and learning new useful things. A wood carving tips article on any topic would be a piece of thought at the very least and the solution of your local problem at the most. So why not use it?
Finding a proper source isn’t easy, but as the writer in one (I hope so, at least) I can tell - there are a couple of things that make a wood carving tips blog stand out. First of all, it’s the amount of articles and their regularity. You wouldn’t want to come home with a desire to read the new article only to find that it’s not written. Secondly, it’s the topic, of course. A good wood carving tips blog will be rich in a lot of different tips, tricks, reviews, so on and so forth. And, finally, it’s the way the authors treat their audience. Do they speak to the readers? Do they find out what they require to learn next? Or do they simply write down some thoughts and go further?
Where to read a fine wood carving tips article?
That’s not an easy question at all, however, it also gives some food for thought. “Here” would be my first answer - are you really surprised? I share a piece of my soul every time I publish something new in the hopes of being useful to you, giving some insight or advice that will make your carving life more interesting and exciting, but also easier.
And there are a lot of wood carving tips artists like me. People who share their own stories and experiences. People that make sure you don’t repeat their mistakes if you are willing to trust them. There are various wood carving tips forum options as well, online magazines and YouTube blogs that share practical advice and very vivid one.
Wood carving tips forum options
One of my personal favorites is and will be for a long time Woodcarving Illustrated. They have a great online magazine with awesome projects and advice as well as a very lively forum full of experienced and beginner carvers sharing their thoughts, experience and answering questions that can prevent a lot of starter’s mistakes. In general, forums can be considered a little outdated by some people, however, I believe it’s a great way of sharing your views, mistakes and inventions as well as hearing other people and learning more about what you like.
Wood carving tips forum is also a great way to find new friends or, at least, some like-minded people that are pleasant to chat and talk to, and that’s never a bad thing, am I right?
Searching for wood carving tips artists
There are quite a lot of them to really count or make a list. Some of them write their own books and are more or less known in the carvers’ community. Several are bloggers, text or video. By the way, on those forums you’ll be able to ask for names and start your own research on the topic. What matters is how open they are to sharing the experience and the way they’re doing it.
Welcome to the community and let’s make it even better together!
Best regards,
Chris Douglas & Steve Jefferson
